A Single Layer of Chromium Oxide Nanoparticles Films Coated with Carbon by Applying Exploding Wire Technique for Efficient Solar Selective Absorber

The efficiency of solar energy absorption in heaters is increased by the use selective coating that possesses high radiation UV-visible spectrum as well low emission at operating temperature infrared region. In this work, novel coatings were synthesized improving selectivity chromium oxide (Cr2O3) nanoparticles doping with carbon using exploding wire technique for rods current suspended Cr2O3 particles. structural properties and surface topography studied XRD FE-SEM, which illustrate carbon-coated nanoparticles. prepared mixed a support material, Polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) matrix, three metals, namely copper, aluminium stainless steel (SST). Reflectivity measurements performed within UV-Visible to calculate numerical integration. reflectivity was also measured range from 2.5 25 μm thermal heater proposed 373 K. showed good produced material simple way compared conventional methods. best sample efficient absorptance (α) lowest emittance (ε) IR region Al substrate coated Cr2O3:C:PVP α =0.886 ε= 0.260.
